The Oslo City Museum is situated at Frogner Manor in the southern part of Vigeland park (Frognerparken). It is a museum of cultural history with one of the largest collections of paintings in Norway.

The history of Oslo is illustrated by thematic exhibitions showing, among other things, the development of Oslo and the city's cultural and commercial activities.

The museum's Café Mathia serves coffee, tea, mineral water, cakes, sandwiches and ice cream.

How to get there

  • Tram no 12 Majorstuen to Frogner Plass.
  • Bus 20 to Frogner Plass.
  • Underground to Majorstuen, and 10 minutes walk to Frognerparken/Vigelandsparken.

There are some parking lots at the Frogner park/Vigeland Park, and street parking next to the park.
